Stiff body shell

The unrivalled stability of the Ranger is based on its robust cross-braced ladder-frame chassis. The rigidity and strength of this framework ensures that the vehicle can overcome the most testing conditions.

4-wheel anti-lock braking system (4W-ABS)

4W-ABS is a combination of ABS and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD). So, whether you are laden with a palette of bricks, or just carrying a 5-iron, this advanced system provides safe, effective braking and steering stability when braking mid corner – and improves short distance stopping whatever the conditions.

Comprehensive safety system

Tougher than the environments it drives in, Ranger is one of the safest vehicles in its class with a range of active and passive safety features to protect owners and their passengers.
Driver and front passenger airbags are fitted as standard, with seat side airbags.
Ranger’s superior body construction provides a protective shield, which directs the crash force away from the occupants. In addition, the high waistline and side intrusion bars increase protection from side impact. And to reduce potential injury to the driver, the steering column collapses into the dashboard on impact.

Practical loadspace

To make sure everything stays where you put it, we have designed the pick-up box to provide you with the ultimate in functionality: the box walls are higher, there are tie-down hooks, plus an integrated load rest.

Total protection

We have equipped all models with a range of security measures to help ensure they remain where you park them. There is remote central locking on both cabstyles and a steering column ignition lock.
Finally, we have added steel shielding to lock mechanisms so they can resist a sledgehammer attack, and made sure your fuel is safe by fitting the fuel flap with a cab release.

Tested to extremes

Tested through mud, water, snow and desert in the most extreme temperatures, the tough, dependable Ranger came through it all, delivering smooth and predictable acceleration, even when fully laden. Whatever your job entails, you will be able to rely on this durable vehicle.
There is a choice of different driving modes: 4x2 for regular driving, 4x4 for poor road surfaces and muddy tracks, no matter how inhospitable the conditions outside, everyone inside will be cosseted in a quiet comfortable cabin.
