Technical highlights

Fiesta’s design has been heavily influenced by the look, style and feel of now, but that’s only half the story. Inside, every piece of technology, every new feature, has been examined and the learnings gleaned from a variety of different industries applied to them. The result is a car that’s as innovative as it is chic.

Anti-lock braking system (ABS)

Fitted as standard on all models, ABS stops the brakes from locking the wheels. This helps prevent skidding if you have to brake when cornering or need to make an emergency stop. For further stability when braking, this system comes with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD).

Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)

EBA ensures full braking force is available whenever necessary, helping reduce stopping distances in an emergency. And, should you need to brake heavily, the hazard warning lights automatically come on to alert other drivers.

Connectivity Module

Fiesta’s connectivity module allows you to plug in your own MP3 player or iPod, using the USB, jack or Y-cable. Then simply access and play all your favourite tracks or playlists. This clever little module is easily accessible in the centre console; a highly advanced multi-functional unit as highly styled and as technologically advanced as the latest mobile phones. Even better, toggles on the steering wheel allow you to operate many of the unit’s functions remotely.

Headlamp Courtesy Delay

This feature comes as standard, on the entire Fiesta range. When you arrive home after an enjoyable night out, flash the left stalk and the headlamps will stay on for a short while, illuminating the way to your door. So your clothes aren’t ruined by tripping up or stepping through mud.

Security

The first line of defence is the optional perimeter alarm on the Style and Zetec-S and standard on the Titanium. And for extra measure, there’s our patented Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) immobiliser, which means only your pre-programmed key will start the engine.
